KOTTAYAM: The political tussle in the Kerala Congress (J) appears to be getting murkier, as the two-hour talks held between party chairman P.J. Joseph and the rebel leader P.C. Thomas remained inconclusive on Thursday. While Mr. Joseph told mediapersons that the dialogue would continue, the rebel leader said he would go ahead with the farmers’ meet on August 3. Meanwhile, a memorial meet organised by the district unit of the party to observe the 44th death anniversary of P.T. Chacko (Congress leader and P.C. Thomas’ father) will turn out to be yet another occasion for Mr. Thomas and his supporters to come together. The party chairman has made it clear that he would not attend the meeting. Incidentally, the Kottayam district unit of the party is headed by a former IFDP leader.
