SERC hearing

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission will hold a public hearing here on Saturday to gather the views of the consumers on the Kerala State Electricity Board’s plea for the imposition of a ‘thermal surcharge’ on electricity. The hearing was originally proposed to be conducted at the commission’s office at Vellayambalam here, but the venue is being changed to the Institute of Engineers’ Hall, also at Vellayambalam, in view of large attendance expected. The hearing would commence at 11 a.m. on Saturday, the commission said in a press release. —Special Correspondent
