Only recently two children had died under mysterious circumstances at Asaram Bapu’s Ahmedabad ashram, leading to large-scale protests. On Thursday evening, four-year-old Vedanta was found dead inside a toilet at the Gurukul in Chhindwara. The police said they were “suspicious” about the cause of the boy’s death as another child, Ramkrishna Yadav, had also died in the same ashram under similar circumstances two days ago. Probe orderedThe district administration has ordered a magisterial probe and investigations are on. The district police authorities told The Hindu on Thursday evening that Vedanta’s post-mortem report was still awaited. According to reports received here, the ashram staff told the police that the boy died after he fell in the bathroom. People resorted to a road blockade and many parents took away their children from the ashram on Thursday evening.
