New Chief Secretary for Chhattisgarh
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Thursday made a junior officer Paramapath Joy Oommen as the State Chief Secretary.
“The Chief Minister cleared the name of Oommen as the next Chief Secretary to replace Shivraj Singh, who retired on Thursday,” sources close to the Chief Minister told PTI here.
This was for the second time the Chief Minister preferred a junior officer as the Chief Secretary.
Shivraj Singh (1973 Batch IAS) was also not the senior- most officer when he was selected to head the bureaucracy.
