Threat mail to embassy traced to Gurgaon

NEW DELHI: The Delhi police on Thursday traced the man who allegedly sent an e-mail to the Japanese Embassy here threatening to trigger blasts. The police said the suspect was mentally unsound.

The mail was traced to a house in Sector 56 of Gurgaon from where the police picked up a young man for questioning. Investigations revealed that he was undergoing treatment for mental illness. He was later released.

The mail claimed that blasts would rock the Sarojini Nagar market and the Embassy premises.
