Traffic police drive against DVD screens

NEW DELHI: The Delhi traffic police have launched a drive against use of DVD screens in private vehicles as they cause distraction to the driver.

According to an official release, violation of the rule would attract a fine of Rs.100 for the first time and Rs.300 for the second and subsequent offences.

Till July 15 this year the traffic police had prosecuted 578 bus drivers for playing music.
