Workshop on disaster management

Udupi: The District Home Guards and the Manipal University will be jointly organising a workshop on disaster management at Manipal on August 3.
District commandant of Home Guards Ganapati Bhat told presspersons here on Thursday that all aspects of disasters, ways and means to prevent them and measures to be taken when a disaster strikes would be dealt with at the workshop.
Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Oscar Fernandes, Home Minister V.S. Acharya, DGP and Commandant General of Home Guards, Jija Madavan Harisingh would participate in the workshop, Mr. Bhat said.
