Udupi: Activists of the Udupi unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishath (ABVP) boycotted classes and staged a “rasta roko” for some time in front of the MGM College here on Thursday, demanding introduction of carry-over system for those who fail the examinations of the preceding semesters of degree courses of Mangalore University. The ABVP activists stated that students who failed in one semester could not appear for the examination of the succeeding semester. The present rules were detrimental to the prospects of students, they said.
