Woman rescued
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old woman, who was allegedly detained by her family members in her residence at Dilsukhnagar, was rescued by the Saroornagar police on Thursday.
G. Srilaxmi, an employee of a corporate hospital, telephoned the officials of State Human Rights Commission stating that her parents confined her in the house for a few days.
They directed Saroornagar police to rescue Srilaxmi. Police traced the woman’s house in Dilsukhnagar and she was produced before the Commission.
Srilaxmi said her parents detained her in the house when she requested them to perform her marriage with her 45-year-old boyfriend Shain.
