Prathima shinesBansi Prathima of India remained unbeaten in the nine-round World Schools chess championship which concluded in Singapore winning her final round game against Teo Gabriella of Singapore in the under-7 category on Wednesday. Apart from winning the title, Prathima was awarded the Candidate Master title for her impressive performance. This is the first time that a player from Andhra has clinched such an honour. Microsoft advancesMicrosoft entered the semifinals in the team event of the TCS tennis tournament for corporate groups with a 2-0 win over Tata Consultancy Services here. Harish and K. Anil scored for the winner. In the u-16 final, St. Andrews High School got the better of Government High School (Trimulgherry) 3-2 with Srivatsa netting a brace and Mukesh one goal.
