GULBARGA: The staff and students of the Al Badar Rural Dental College and Hospital here observed “Oral hygiene day” on Friday to commemorate the birth anniversary of G.B. Shankwalkar, a pioneer in periodontics in the country. Students, including many girls, took out a procession carrying placards with messages stressing the importance of oral hygiene. A 15-day free dental treatment camp was inaugurated at the hospital on Friday. — Special Correspondent
