Rs.2 cr for insurance subscribers
VIZIANAGARAM: District Government Life Insurance Officer Ch. Venkataratnam told a press conference on Friday that Rs.2 crores was earmarked this year for sanction of loans to the State Government Life Insurance subscribers.
Last year, Rs.1.20crores was allotted for the purpose.
He said that the district ranked first in the State in issuing annual account slips to employees for 2007-08.
There are 20,000 subscribers in the district and the total premium collected every year was over Rs.5.60 crores.
Mr. Venkataratnam said that 100 per cent bonus would be paid to the subscribers either on maturity or after death.
