‘Van Mahotsav’ launched

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit planted a sapling on Friday to launch the “Van Mahotsava” programme of the New Delhi Municipal Council. A large number of students of NDMC schools and traffic police personnel took part in the plantation drive. The Motilal Nehru Place roundabout was chosen for the programme as it is one of the biggest in the city and known for its beautiful landscaping. Over 100 saplings of various flowering tree species were planted.
