Nedumbassery: In an effort to ensure hassle-free travel for international passengers, Air India has issued certain instructions they should follow while opting for international travel through web-based ticketing. Passengers must ensure that their visa and passport are valid. Further, they should compulsorily be in possession of the return ticket if they are travelling on a visit visa. If the visa is in Arabic, passengers should carry a translation of the document in English. If the ticket is booked using credit card, a copy of the card attested by the card-holder should be carried. Those who require immigration clearance should complete the procedure well in advance of their flight. Identity proofDomestic travellers who have booked tickets through web-based system should also carry identity proofs like electoral identity card or identity by their employer etc. Passengers who book tickets on the Net have been missing flights after failing to produce these essential documents. Hence, these instructions were issued in the interest of the passengers who travel by any airline, said an official communication from Air India.
