Essar Oil posts Rs. 30 crore net
MUMBAI: Essar Oil posted a net profit of Rs. 29.93 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008, as against a net loss of
Rs. 5.67 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year. Total income was Rs. 9,016.03 crore against Rs. 197.95 crore. The current quarter results comprise mainly income and expenses arising out of refinery production for May and June 2008 and also that arising out of trading operations for the previous periods. The current quarter figures are, therefore, not comparable with the previous period’s figures, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
