MADURAI: The Mahila Court here on Friday has found a youth, V. Selvam (22), guilty of raping a minor girl in 2006. The judge, E.M.K.S. Siddharthar, will pronounce the quantum of punishment on Monday. The prosecution said that the youth, who sought employment at the shop of a flower merchant in Anuppanadi, outraged the modesty of the 10-year-old in the absence of other inmates of the house. Eventually, he murdered her and hid the body in a gunny bag. The judge found him guilty on five counts for trespass, rape, unnatural offence, murder and destroying evidence.
