The rare ’trijuti’ rudrakshas
BANGALORE: Rudraksha is worn by the spiritually minded as well as the hip set.
Conventional wisdom has it that Nepal rudrakshas are the best. A good rudraksha should be the size of a gooseberry, says Kamal N. Seetha, rudrasha consultant and founder of Rudralife.
He warns that there are many fakes around and one should be careful while choosing.
Rudrakasha can be worn irrespective of caste, gender and religion. The five-faced rudraksha is most commonly worn, he says, adding that in India, the beads are harvested in Tripura, Assam, Bihar and Bengal.
Rudralife has been organising exhibitions throughout the country and abroad for the past 10 years. Rudralife’s rudrakshas are ISO certified.
The rarer beads from 1 to 21 mukhis such as Trijuti, Sawar, Ganesh Rudrakash, Siddha Mala and Indra Mala are on display at the exhibition.Rudralife’s exhibition is on till August 6, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. at Basava Bhavan. For details, log on to www.rudralife.com.
