KANNUR: The Kerala Students’ Union (KSU) has welcomed the High Court order nullifying the entrance test conducted by a group of private professional colleges with which the State government had entered in to an agreement over fee structure. At a press conference here on Saturday, KSU State president Hybi Eden alleged that the ruling LDF and Education Minister M.A. Baby had entered into a ‘business partnership’ with the six self-financing professional colleges, as the managements were permitted to collect Rs.30 lakh to Rs.40 lakh as capitation fee from candidates and to conduct entrance tests. He also alleged that the government had failed to keep its promise that all entrance tests conducted by the self-financing colleges would be supervised by the P.A. Mohammed Committee.
