Highways Department renamed

CHENNAI: The Highways Department in Tamil Nadu has been renamed Highways and Minor Ports Department.

The change has been made as the designation Highways Department did not reflect fully the important subject relating to Minor Ports, which was also being handled by the department, according to an official notification. — Special Correspondent
