Special camp on electoral rolls under way in Karur district

KARUR: A special camp is under way in the district to enable eligible voters to enrol themselves or to make corrections with regard to address or details in the revised photo electoral rolls the draft of which was published recently. The special camp will be conducted in the respective RDO offices, Taluk Offices, earmarked polling stations on Sunday.
Petitions regarding changes to be effected should be submitted to the respective officials before August 8 in the prescribed forms while the booth level officers would run a door-to-door verification campaign till August 14 to enlist and verify voters.
People should make use of the opportunity to record the correct details in the photo electoral rolls, a release said.
