Gautami Express victim cremated

GUNTUR: A pall of gloom descended on the house of B. Chenchaiah and Samrajyam on Saturday when the body of their daughter-in-law Sarita arrived in Old Guntur on Saturday.
Mr. Chenchaiah and Samrajyam, who were expecting a grandchild in a couple of months, broke down at the sight of the half-charred body of Sarita. To add to their woes, their son Ravi Kumar’s body was not traceable so far. Sarita was travelling by the train with her husband to Kakinada.
Sarita’s parents Suresh Rao and Niraja hailing form Chittoor remained dumbstruck at the sight of their daughter’s body. The cremation was done in the afternoon. Guntur-I MLA Nabur Shaik Subhani and Deputy Mayor Sk. Ghouse visiting the family members and consoled them.
