2 Delhi blast suspects held

KOLKATA: Two persons, one stated to be a Bangladeshi, were arrested from the Bhaktinagar thana area of Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal in the early hours of Friday by a team of police officials from Delhi in connection with a blast in the capital earlier this year.

The police are investigating whether the men were involved in the recent blasts elsewhere in the country.

The Delhi Police arrived three days ago in search of the accomplices of a man previously arrested in connection with the blast in south Delhi, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sitaram Sinha told The Hindu.

The men were arrested on the charge of possession of firearms and explosive material.
