Sharath Kamal pulls out
CHENNAI: National champion Sharath Kamal has ruled himself out of the on-going inter-institutional table tennis championships at Nagpur.
“I did talk to Mr. M.C. Chowhan, Secretary, TTFI, and Mr. V.K. Bawa, Advisor, Petroleum Sports Promotion Board. I told them about my knee injury and my inability to participate with the Olympics in sight and they understood it,” said Sharath on Saturday in a telephonic talk from Nagpur.
The 26-year-old will reach Chennai on Sunday and will leave the city on August 6 to New Delhi and then proceed to Beijing. — Principal Correspondent
