Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom has bagged the 2007 national award for excellence in computer literacy instituted by the Union Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Department of Information Technology. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs.1.5 lakh and a trophy. It will be given away at a function to be held at Vigynan Bhavan, New Delhi on August 28. School Principal Dr. Cicy Roy Mathew will receive the award from the Union Minister for Communications and IT. The school was nominated for the award by the State IT Department. It is the only public school from the State to win the award.
