Special Correspondent

TAMBARAM: A 45-year-old man died when he came under the wheels of a bus on the premises of Officers Training Academy in St. Thomas Mount on Thursday.

The St. Thomas Mount police said that R. Kumar of Nanganallur, a civilian employee at OTA, and a group of people went to Pazhavanthangal to see off a colleague who retired that day.

Later in the evening, the group returned to the OTA by bus.

Kumar was seriously injured and rushed to the Military Hospital in Nandambakkam where he succumbed to injuries.

His body was referred to Chromepet GH for post-mortem.

Following a complaint from the victim’s wife, the St. Thomas Mount police registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
