Hardy withdraws from U.S. Olympic team

Colorado Springs (Colorado): Swimmer Jessica Hardy has withdrawn from the U.S. Olympic team, and won’t pursue her appeal of a doping ban prior to the Beijing Games, the USADA said. “Jessica Hardy has agreed to withdraw from the 2008 U.S. Olympic team,” USADA said in a statement on Friday. — AFP
