Summer Moonshine, comprising Meera and Sankhya, finished runner-up with 75 points and received Rs. 5,000. Team Vetti Venkies, comprising S. Gaurav and S. Harish finished third (70 points) and took home Rs. 3,000. Ashok Verghese, Joint Director, Hindustan University, announced that his University will sponsor flight tickets to the winning team to witness the Beijing Olympic Games. Chess tournamentModern Senior Secondary School will conduct an international FIDE-rated chess tournament exclusively for schoolchildren, consisting of ten rounds using the Swiss system, from August 18 to 23. Top Indian youngsters, including IMs and FIDE-rated players, are expected to take part in the tournament, limited to 300 players on a first-come-first-serve basis. Entry fee for rated players is Rs. 700 and Rs. 800 for unrated players. Players will be provided free boarding and lodging during the tournament.
