A technical talk on ‘Geographical information systems’ organised on Monday SHIMOGA: Shimoga Information Technology Forum (SITF)—a forum comprising Information Technology professionals and entrepreneurs — has been formed at the initiative of the Shimoga District Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The forum aims at promoting activities such as organising investors’ meets, technical talks, training programmes, seminars, conferences and the project proposals in the area of IT. The forum will also act as a nodal agency for initiating activities for overall development of IT industry in Shimoga. The forum has organised a technical talk on “Geographical Information Systems” by Chief Executive Officer of I-Link Software Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore, K.C. Sukumar, at the Seminar Hall of Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering here on Monday. Secretary of the National Education Society S.V. Thimmaiah, industrialist T.V. Narayana Sastry and trustee of PESIT & M B.Y. Raghavendra will be the chief guests for the occasion.
