Government to develop Kollur

Kollur: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said on Sunday that the Government would develop Kollur as a major pilgrim centre.
Addressing presspersons here, he said that as waste water was being let into Souparnika River, it was getting polluted.
A drainage system had been planned at Kollur at an estimated cost of Rs. 30 crore. The railway station at Byndoor would be upgraded.
The upgrading and development of the railway station was estimated to cost Rs. 8.45 crore, of which the Government share would be Rs. 2.10 crore.
There was a proposal to construct an airstrip at Othinane near Kollur, he added.
