Youth drowns

CHENNAI: A youth who went to a party at a restaurant in Neelankarai drowned in the sea on Sunday evening .

According to police, Mahesh Babuji (23), a resident of Anna Nagar West Telephone Quarters, had gone with a few of his friends to the restaurant. He drowned in the sea when all the youths went for a swim. He was rescued and brought to Government Royapettah Hospital around 6 p.m. where he was declared “brought dead.”
