Thanjavur: Vice-Chancellor of Tamil University M. Rajendran has condoled the death of S. Agasthiyalingam, former Vice-Chancellor of Tamil University, on Monday. In a message, the Vice-Chancellor said that he was shocked to hear about the death in a road accident. Famous linguistA well-known linguist, Agasthiyalingam established All-India University Tamil Teachers’ Association. He was Vice-Chancellor of Tamil University from 1986-1989. He has written books on Tamil Language, culture and literature which have attracted the attention of the world community, said Dr. Rajendran in the message.
