All-party meet likely
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is likely to convene an all-party meeting soon to discuss the situation in Jammu in the wake of continuing protests over the Amarnath land transfer row.
Top leaders of all parties will be invited to the meeting, which is most likely to be held later this week, official sources said.
All regional parties, including the National Conference and the People’s Democratic Party, would also be invited, sources said.
Meanwhile, the Centre rushed Union Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta and Defence Secretary Vijay Singh to violence-hit Jammu, which continued to be tense.
