Good response to medical camp

CHENGAM: A total of 825 people from nine villages were screened for various diseases at a medical camp held in Oorgavundanoor Panchayat Middle School, 25 km from Chengam in Tiruvannamalai District, on Tuesday.
Ten persons have been referred to the government hospitals at Tiruvannamalai, Chennai and Puducherry for treatment.
Doctors at the camp said that a one-year-old baby was diagnosed with cardiac problem. The doctors referred the case to the Chennai Government Hospital. A total of 80 children from villages including Oorgavundanoor, Pambathoor, Kalpilandanoor, Pudur, Arasanoor, Gudur, Bandrew and Kozhikolai were also screened for various health problems.
The villagers were screened by 25 doctors of different specialties.
