JAIPUR: Rajasthan Minister of State for Urban Development Surendra Goyal on Tuesday called upon the Jaipur Development Authority to work for development of the Pink City by strengthening the infrastructure and developing more residential colonies. Foundation dayAddressing a function marking the 26th foundation day of JDA here, Mr. Goyal said JDA’s role in beautification of the city and regularisation of colonies was significant. “The State Government expects JDA to continue with the pace of development and provide comfort to the residents of Jaipur,” he added. Mr. Goyal said the creation of residential colonies and commercial area schemes, regularisation of colonies developed on agricultural land and rehabilitation of people staying in slum areas would go a long way in further developing the city famous for its structural design. Mr. Goyal, accompanied by JDA Commissioner Ashok Jain, JDA Secretary Ramniwas Meena and other officers, took part in “Ganesha Poojan” and planted a crystal palm tree at the Jaipur Development Authority headquarters.
