Rs.55 crore for Delhi hospital
NEW DELHI: International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, will be investing Rs.55crore ($14 million) in the Delhi-based Rockland Hospital to fund the expansion plans of its current facility here and build the first phase of a new 250-bed hospital at Manesar in Haryana.“IFC will provide $10 million through equity investments and another $4 million in convertible preferred shares. The project will help broaden access to high-quality health care and good administrative and patient care,” IFC said in a statement on Monday.
IFC’s Director (Health and Education) Guy Ellena said: “This project demonstrates IFC’s commitment to social sector development. It also aligns with our strategy to invest in health care, one of India’s largest service industries”.
