Water level

MADURAI: The level in the Periyar dam stood at 127 feet (136 feet) with an inflow of 523 cusecs and a discharge of 1,502 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 62.07 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 1,092 cusecs and a discharge of 1,041 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 4,588 mcft.

Tekkadi recorded a rainfall of 3 mm followed by Periyar dam and Gudalur 1 mm each.
