“Revise tax for commercial buildings”

SIVAKASI: The Sivakasi Chamber of Commerce is against the decision of the municipality in increasing the property tax for commercial buildings by 100 per cent.

In a statement, its president, K.A. Samuthirapandiyan, said that the general body meeting of the Chamber held here on Thursday had decided to demand the local body to revise the tax by only 50 per cent.

The Chamber demanded the Southern Railway to operate an additional train service on the Tenkasi-Chennai sector and a new train to Coimbatore.
