Steps to weed out bogus ration cards

KARUR: Efforts are being taken to weed out bogus family ration cards in Karur district, according to Collector T.N. Venkatesh. Over 10,000 such cards have been identified and deleted from the list, he has said.

The Collector also said that directions had been given to the supervising staff to scrutinise thoroughly over 5,000 cards that were suspected to be bogus in the district.
