Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: Ramon Magsaysay awardee, Sandeep Pandey on Tuesday wanted the government and the A P State Information Commission, to implement the suggestions made in the appraisal report prepared by the United Forum For RTI (right to information) Campaign.
In a statement, Mr. Pandey said the appraisal was objective and comprehensive and the suggestions included rationalisation of work allocation among the Commissioners, measures to ensure that all the public authorities accept cash along with other modes of payment and ensure that they reveal all disclosures that are mandatory.
More Information Commissioners were needed to be appointed in consultation with civil society to share the increased work load, MR. Pandey said.
The forum’s effrt will go a long way in making the commission more accountable and effective, he added.
