PUDUCHERRY: Director-General of Police A.S. Khan said there was “no truth” in the reports that the Puducherry and Karaikal regions had become an outsourcing market for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). ProbeWhen asked about the alleged disclosure by LTTE activist Krishna Neethan alias Nixon arrested recently in Ramanathapuram that he had procured some materials from Puducherry, Mr. Khan said inquiries with the Tamil Nadu police revealed that the accused had procured batteries and life jackets from the Union Territory. “We will conduct a probe after the Tamil Nadu police provides more information. There is no authentic information to suggest that the region has become an outsourcing market for LTTE,” he told The Hindu on Tuesday.
