Vedanti resigns

Chandigarh: Akal Takht Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti on Tuesday quit his post alleging he was asked to resign by a top functionary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee .

SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar, however, said Mr. Vedanti quit on health grounds. — PTI
