CITU for implementation of minimum wages

Announce ‘Chalo Labour Commissioner’
|
Sangareddy: The Medak unit of Centre of Indian Trade Unions in a press release here on Wednesday announced a “Chalo Labour Commissioner” programme on August 28 demanding implementation of minimum wages and other labour related laws.
According to the press release a memorandum has been submitted to the State labour commissioner and to the Collector in the month of July. CITU alleged that the government has failed to initiate any steps to alleviate the problems faced by the labour.
There are 800 small and medium scale industries in the district in which 60,000 men and women are employed.
