Chandy urges LDF to drop anti-Centre agitation
Special Correspondent
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy on Wednesday urged the government to drop its anti-Centre agitation in the backdrop of the Central government’s sanction of the Kuttanad farm package and the Vizhinjam Deepwater Transhipment Terminal.
In a statement here, Mr. Chandy said that the Centre’s positive action clearly proved that the LDF government’s anti-Centre agitation was baseless. He said the LDF had started bludgeoning the Centre accusing it of neglecting Kerala only after the Left parties withdrew their support to the UPA government.
