KOCHI: The Cusat inter-school Open chess tournament, jointly organised by the Cusat Chess Club and the Chess Association Ernakulam, will be held at the Cochin University’s School of Management Studies Hall, Kalamassery, on August 9 and 10. Separate competitions for LP, UP and high schools will be conducted and prizes will be given to the top ten players in each category. Special trophies will also be awarded to the top two schools. Interested players are to report at the venue, with a letter from the head of the institution, at 9 a.m. on the first day. For more details, contact 94473-96758.
