Mohanlal to act in Japanese film
S.R.Ashok Kumar
Chennai: Actors Mohanlal and Jackie Chan will act together in a Japanese film “Nair San.” The shooting will begin shortly, say industry sources.
The film will be directed by Albert, an alumnus of the Tamil Nadu Film and Television Institute in Chennai.
“Nair San” is the story of a freedom fighter of Indian origin in Japan.
Born to a Tamil father and a Malayalee mother, he grew up and fought for the freedom of Asia and particularly India, during the imperialist supremacy of the British in the early to middle 1900. According to director Albert, whose debut film “Kanne Madanguka” was the recipient of three Kerala State awards and three debut directorial awards, freedom fighter Nair San was not hailed much in his own country but he is a revered icon in Japanese history and economy.
