1,486 caught travelling without tickets

The Zonal Enforcement Squad of Greater Hyderabad Zone, APSRTC, during the month of July detected 1,486 passengers for travelling without tickets in city buses and imposed fines to the tune of Rs. 39,300. The squad had also detected 262 commuters who were illegally travelling in buses using other persons’ bus passes. Apart from levying fines, complaints were lodged against such commuters in respective police stations for necessary legal action, said a press release.
