GUNTUR: Vijayawada Railway division won the overall championship in the South Central Railway inter-zonal weightlifting championships here on Wednesday by winning seven medals. The inter-zonal National Railway weightlifting championships would be organised in Chennai sometime in October for which the South Central Railway Team would be selected from among these winners, the Sports Officer P.V.S. Shantaram said. The results: 62kg: 1. G. Manjunadhan (Sec) 247.5kg, 2. G. Wilson (Vij) 235, 3. Chandrappa (Vij) 145; 69kg. 1. G. Lokanadhan (Hyd) 240, 2. C. Srinivasa Rao (Sec) 235, 3. Harish (Vij) 150; 77kg: 1. Padmanabhan (Hyd) 267.5, 2. Satish Kumar (Guntakal) 255, 3. Karthik (Guntur) 230. 85kg: 1. Lakshminaranan (Sec) 235, 2. R. Dharmenra (Guntur) 230, 3.
