Floating spa comes up at Kovalam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A floating spa has come up at Club Treasure Cove, near the Ashoka beach, at Kovalam.

The spa was formally launched by Minister for Tourism Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Wednesday.

Kerala Tourism Director M. Sivasankar, and Country Club (India) Ltd (CCIL) chairman and managing director Varun Reddy were present on the occasion.

The spa has been set up by Country Spa, a division of CCIL. It marks the company’s entry into the wellness industry.

The floating spa, set up on a 5,000-sq.ft. pool, has embedded hydro- therapies of therapeutic value, Mr. Reddy said.

The spa has three floating waterbeds, showers and facilities for foot massages and a jacuzzi.

Country Spa has also entered into a tie-up with Palakkad-based Kairali Group to provide Ayurveda-based services at the spa.

The company is in the process of setting up eleven such spa projects in various States and in Dubai, according to Mr. Reddy.
