TIRUNELVELI: The District Rural Development Agency conducted various competitions here on Wednesday in connection with Rajiv Gandhi Renewable Energy Day. According to Project Officer, DRDA, Tirunelveli, F. Abdul Razick, P. Gomathi of Rani Anna Government College for Women, Pettai, K. Bhaskaran of Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli and V. Thenmozhiof Sri Parasakthi Women’s College, Courtallam won the first three places in the elocution competition. In the essay competition, A. Rajalakshmi of Sri Parasakthi Women’s College, Courtallam, G. Fatima Jasmine of St. John’s College, Palayamkottai and M.R. Brammanayagam of St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai won the first three prizes. First three places in the drawing competition went in favour of D. Christy Grace of Rose Mary Women’s College, Munneerpallam, G. Esther of Arulmigu Pannirupidi Ayyan College, Nanguneri and M. John Michael of St. John’s College, Palayamkottai. Winners will receive their prizes and certificates in the function to be organised in the third week of August, Mr. Razick said.
