Spirit seized

KASARAGOD: Officials of the Excise Department on Thursday seized 690 litres of spirit from a parcel lorry at Manjeswaram on the Kerala-Karnataka border. Three persons were arrested. The spirit was found hidden in 69 10-litre cans among textiles and plastic dolls. The arrested are Amjath Musabir (22), Ahmed Musabir (19) and Razak (22).
